Queer fans are the ones who are 100% sure that H and L are queer because they recognize the signs. We get queer culture, we live it everyday, we know what it means to be queer so it’s easy for us to recognize others in the community. We pick up on the dog whistles and queer codes more than anyone else. We see that the deep V cut H wore for cochella is a queer coded style thanks to Freddie Mercury and Bowie- two classic gay icons. We pick up on the pink triangles in Louis’ videos, the clever use of gender neutral pronouns when answering questions about “the ideal girl.” We understand songs like Home, Happily, End of the day, Girl crush, Just Like you, Only the Brave, She, Fine Line, and they don’t know about us on a level that cis/het people will never reach. That’s why the queer fans are the ones begging everyone else to open their eyes, because we see it and we understand it. I understand why straight fans don’t get it. They don’t see the obvious hints to queer culture because they’re not living it. They don’t get what it means to be a friend of Dorothy, or why female country is a big part of queer culture, why clothing is integral to self expression and identification, why it isn’t as easy as just ‘coming out’. They don’t get that so of course they don’t get closeting or what it means to be gender non conforming in a binary world. I don’t blame them but god, they can be so blind to what’s right in front of them.

now inside the pregnancy belly of course is the barbie baby. it comes right out, no vagina to exit through. and if you look closely you can see that her underwear is also painted across the bottom of the belly. there is no mistaking this for a woman with any genitalia. just underwear.
